In the spring of 2007, the SVA MFA Design Class of 2008 presented Serious Fun, an exhibition that addressed social issues in the form of kid’s toys. Each of us conceived of and created a unique line of toys, straddling the line between play and commentary. One Degree was my conceptual toy line about global warming.

The first day of my class with Kevin O’Callaghan there were 20 red chairs from IKEA lined up in the room. Each one had a different type of person written underneath it: serial killer, slut, terrorist, white trash, political activist, voyeur, obsesive compulsive… We were told to make a chair specifically for the person whose chair we sat in. Mine was ‘communist’.

An 8 × 12 foot wall mural at Prive, a club in South Beach, FL. On top are 3 glass panels, one with an etching of Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. It was done start to finish in 2 days while interning at Right Brain Branding back in undergrad.
